●IKA NO NANBAN-ZUKE-
Lightly Marinated Squid- Nanban-style

<Ingredients(for two)>
350g thin-shelled squid('surumeika')
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon red hot pepper (cut into thin rounds)
sanbai-zu:
1/2 cup vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon light soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon curry powder
1/2 onion (cut into thin slices)
30g carrot (julienne strips)
1 Japanese small bell pepper (julienne strips)
1/4 red bell pepper(julienne strips)
1)Wash the squid with water and cut into rings with
1cm width. Separate
the tentacles and cut individually. Salt (1/3 teaspoon)
the squid and grill.
2)Mix the ingredients for sanbaizu and mix with the
vegetables. Blend in
curry powder and red peppers and add the squid. Toss
well and serve.
